Surely you didn’t know that hot dogs come from Germany. In America they are brought by German immigrants and today are among the most consumed meal. Every summer in America are eaten 7 billion hot dogs. But surely you do not know how harmful they can be for your organism.
Hot dogs are made from chicken, beef and pork meat. But in the processing which is fully robotic, are often added and various remains of animals such as legs, claws, skin and fat. All these things are mixed in order to become sausage. Finally, a lot of additives are added such as corn syrup, monosodium glutamate, salt and many others in order to get the desired flavour.
These flavours are different in all areas depending on the desires of people who consume them. The scary thing is that Monosodium glutamate and carmine flavors are made from color shells of tiny beetles that are boiled in sodium carbonate or ammonia.
But we could never know what additives are used in production because they are not written on the label.
A recent study by the University of Hawaii has shown that processed meat is extremely dangerous, it increases the risk of pancreatic cancer to 67%.
Nitrites and nitrates can also be found in processed meat. These are some of the major causes of cancer of the stomach, pancreas, bladder, and bowel.
American Institute for Cancer Research claims that eating one hot dog per day increases the chances of colorectal cancer by 21%.
